If you ask anyone of us who have owned them we will tell you that the StellarVue Finders are "the bomb". I have had the SV-50's on several scopes as does Bill Cowles and will rave about them. Bill ordered a base from Mannish at Agena Astro. The base is modified to fit the SV-50 and only uses two adjusting screws. Super easy. Most people have not raved about the SV-60's. Just doesn't seem to be worth the extra dollars and if you are going to get an SV-80 like mine you are going to need a lot more chain. ;)Steve

I honestly don't know what would be the best, but would an 80mm finder upset the balance on a dob? I'd think it might be a bit heavy.

Hi, I am looking for some opinions on what would be the best finder for a Dob Telescope. I have a Rigel telrade on the scope but would like a 50mm-80mm finder also.
What would be your recommendations?
If you have an extra finder let me know.
