Thanks Steve, Not to be a critic of the critics...but the reasons were "it was too neat", and "rocks that big usually don't hit earth" Maybe they should test the material before jumping to conclusions. The "Hoaxers" did a great job on the crater in my opinion. Looks very plausible. It may be rare for rocks that big to hit...doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
