I've seen it from Arches NP and from Rush Valley, the "pit-'n-pole" site that is still popular. Even at only a couple of degrees above the horizon the dark lane through the center stood out in stark contrast to the vague orb of light around it. Quite spectacular and I still hope to see it from southern skies some day.
