I ask mostly because my own membership in SLAS is up for renewal. I have seen some things I like very much and some things I do not care for. I will respect your wishes and not use this forum for such discussion. Joe if you want to answer me off list I am interested in what you have to share. As list co-administrator, I would ask that this not be discussed on Utah-Astronomy.
Utah-Astronomy has nothing to do with SLAS. I myself am not on Facebook, never have been, don't intend to be in the future.
And at the moment I'm not a SLAS member, I haven't paid my yearly dues yet and my membership expired last month.
Joe has expressed his opinion but I don't want any more names mentioned.
Thanks!

Perhaps I should not wade into the middle of this but curiosity is getting the better of me. As I am not on the Facebook group myself, would you care to share the subject of the dispute? Obviously there could be reasonable grounds to exclude a disruptive person but there is a wide gulf between astronomers arguing over Pluto's status as a planet and someone constantly posting campaign slogans for their favorite candidate.
