This illustrates the difference between being run by a much larger, faceless corporation, and having the top decision-maker on-site and involved in daily company operations. I've got a soft spot for the CEO with tech savvy and and an engineering background, rather than those who came via the purely business/financial MBA route; or those installed by an investment group to merely manage assets.
