DeLoy and Karen really helped me learn when I first started this hobby in 1998. They taught me to find new things at each star party. He also suggested giving out Milky Way or Starbursts. I did this for over 20 years at my niece and nephew's house (they were avid Halloweeners) in Glendale. Of course parents were encouraged to look as well. It became generational when a guy came up to my C-8 with his 3 year old and said "I used to come here when I was a kid and I remember you and the telescope." Only stopped last year as they moved to Syracuse. Never had any trouble. Lots of compliments like "Thank you, my child would never have had this opportunity."
