This is my home-made parallelogram, but like the pic Mat posted, you'd need to really beef up the design for a 100mm binocular. Mine hold up to 80mm with no issues. I've got quite a few of these in the field right now, owned by others. http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii24/JethroTull1958/ATM/50mmwithsolarfilt... http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii24/JethroTull1958/ATM/50mmwithsolarfilt... http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii24/JethroTull1958/ATM/50mmwithsolarfilt... http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii24/JethroTull1958/ATM/50mmwithsolarfilt... http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii24/JethroTull1958/ATM/50mmwithsolarfilt... http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii24/JethroTull1958/ATM/50mmwithsolarfilt... http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii24/JethroTull1958/ATM/50mmwithsolarfilt... I have a design for a 3-arm parallelogram that is much more robust, for 100mm binos but I haven't had the time to finish the prototype. Maybe this summer. Hi everyone!
I got to road test my new binocs tonight. The Orion nebula was gorgeous tonight through them. I'm happy with these binocs, but I don't have a proper mount for them.
Since I am a photographer, I have a plethora of tripods, but no counterweight, and nothing that is securely holding these binocs still.
Are there any suggestions out there, hopefully for some home-made rigs?
Thanks in advance,
Shoshana
