Joe, Actually quite a few showed up Saturday night, and the weather gods were obviously pretty mean-spiritied that night. The die-hard optimists among us even got rained on. I finally packed it up after midnight, as the total overcast would not go away. Imagine my disgust to wake up to cloudless blue skies today. Sigh. But the site seems pretty good; some small amount of light pollution in the West, but not bad; overall a great site for being less than an hour from SLC (it's about an hour from my house in Lindon in Utah County having to drive thru Heber). I'll definitely try it again. -Rich --- Joe Bauman <bau@desnews.com> wrote:
Did anybody go to the Quarry Site? If so, how bad was the light pollution? I'm also wondering if anyone has tried to visit the Wasatch Plateau for observing, somewehre above the Wedge. Thanks, Joe
