Hi Dave, Where did you guys set up? I went to Dead Horse Point last June and set up at this viewpoint overlooking the canyon towards Moab. There was also a bathroom there too. It was a good place to set up except for the few cars that came into the parking lot with their bright car lights. It was so dark there I could easily pick up the dark nebulae in the Milky Way. I didn't have any trees to obscure my view. I think Canyon lands is a wonderful place to observe. I'll go there again when it is not so hot. Debbie
