Hi Josephine, I too went through my Art Bell stage. Even managed to get on the air with him once to talk about Comet Hale-Bopp. But honestly, I kind of doubt he believed much of what he presented. Rather he knew what his listeners wanted and knew that his listeners paid the bills. I've tried listening to the new guy a few times but he's just not Art Bell. BTW, regarding the original topic of this thread, Bob Elliott on the Minor Planet Mailing List said that using the data in the FIT header and some software called Project Pluto Guide 8 he was able to ID both objects. One was COSMOS 2422 (http://www.n2yo.com/satellite/?s=29260) and the other was Orbcom FM24 (http://www.n2yo.com/satellite/?s=25478). There was no conspiracy theory, alien invasion, or ESP phenemenon that they would not give a respectful hearing too, and adopt as gospel. The advertisers preyed on the gullible audience by selling anything and everything you needed to protect yourself in the coming (insert Terror of the day). It did keep us awake, though, for the "Oh my goodness, are they really saying that?" entertainment value
