Can everybody please let this fire burn out now, (to use Joe's words)? This is getting ridiculous. If he hadn't been so brusk and rude in rejecting a simple, polite request there never would have been a fire. If you hadn't tossed in the gasoline it would have burned itself out. So please take responsibility. Sent from my iPhone

Yet again a few on utah-astronomy have demonstrated their impeccable ability to chew up and spit out its young. At least you've yet again confirmed my (and I suspect many others) long-standing decision to have nothing to do with SLAS and its incessant squabbles and politics.
As with astrophotography, as the signal-to-noise ratio decreases, eventually it becomes time to pack things up and call it a night. I've been subscribed here for 6 years, and almost without fail, every time SLAS is mentioned, the noise, insults, and arguments begin. This list really is a useful and informative platform for astronomy discussion when we keep the discussions on astronomy.

Or at least not continue it in the open. What's say y'all take this off the list? Please.
