There actually have been small, regular groups of sunspots every once in a while. I saw some last week during a rare sunny afternoon- maybe the same ones you saw. Also, as Patrick noted last week, prominence activity seems to be on the rise. Springtime in Utah means everyone's viewing will be sporadic, unfortunately. Thanks, Gary!
