Apparently NASA is assuming that sunspot group 1476 will have survived, as last seen, a full rotation of the sun and be visible on transit day. It might have been better if they posted a more current picture (from SOHO) so all those who will actually be looking at the sun on June 5th would have a better frame of reference to look for first contact.
