Hi Joe, So sorry to hear about your scope. I really sympathize, our Celestron CPC 1100 GPS died on us, but in a less dramatic way than your Mead. It starting running past objects and the motor would keep grinding away, until finally, it couldn't go to any object or track, but it could make awful noises down in the fork mount. We tried to open it up and see anything wrong, but we couldn't see anything obvious. Like you, we concluded shipping it back for repair was not affordable either.
