As the Sun sets on February 3 around 6pm, the 1st quarter Moon just begin occulting the Pleadies with several bright star near grazes. The best visual time begins just before 6pm when the Moon will start occulting mag 4.3 Taygeta. By 6:23pm, Tau 19 and 22 will be occulted. The altitude is good at +70 degs. Around 7:15pm, the occulted bright Pleaidean stars will start egressing from behind the Moon with the Moon still at a good high altitude. The event ends a few minutes before 8pm. - Kurt
