Unfortunately, nothing these clods claim is untrue. It's deceptive, yes, but not untrue. They claim your name will go in a book in the Registry of Copyrights. Big deal. I've got lots of stuff under copyright and it requires no great effort. They let people come to their own conclusions that this means something, which of course it doesn't. If you complain too loudly, calling them liars, they will indeed sue you and win. They're not lying, quite. Their entire business is based on a sufficiency of uninformed and uncritical people. There are unfortunately plenty of those around. For what it's worth, I regularly complained to Boston media every year when those ads began to run. I was careful not to call them liars, but tried to point out that the basis of their business was deceptive. Fat lot of good it did me. Radio and TV stations would sell ads for the Hitler Youth as long as the checks clear. All you can do is to try and spread the truth. Michael Dale Hooper wrote:

Others have not received such a "kind" reply. There was a thread on the planetarium list serve a while back where folks were reporting being served with legal papers for publicly saying bad things about the program.
