I would like to second Michael sentiment. You can no advocacy advantage by engaging in personal attacks on a proponent, even with they themselves misrepresent the ethics of their opponents. Focusing on the practical lobbying implications, with respect to the substitute no. 2, SB96, the main down side is that in floor debates proponents will attempt to use Sen. Buttars' illness as a means to get a sympathy vote to pass the bill. For those wishing to oppose the bill and who want to send an email to their representative, I would recommend that you (and if you have school age children having them send a separate email) complaining that their valuable school instruction time is already full studying generally accepted maintstream scientific theories and that they do not want their class time taken up with "wacko-junk" science being foisted by an extremist religious minority.
