Ya I have read about moving the mirror up so It moves the focus point out of the tube, I just didn't feel like messing with that. I think there is a party this Saturday. I will bring it down then and see what I can find out.

Hi,
Many scopes are set up for viewing but not necessarily for photography.
In the "old days" scopes came with the ability to move the primary mirror further up the tube to bring the focus point further out to meet the camera.
You might want to bring your scope and camera to a star party and have the "pros" have a look.

Hello,
So I have an 8" Dobsonian and a Canon Rebel T1i. I have the t ring and a 1.25" adapter that I attach to my focuser, which is a 2", but I don't have anything that is 2" so I use 1.25. I also have an extension tube that allows me to put a barlow lens inside of it. I have tried both of these configurations, removed my camera lens and attached just the 1.25 adapter, can't get the camera to focus at all. Attached the extension tube and a barlow and 25mm eyepiece on the inside, still no focus. I don't know if I can't get my camera far enough away from the tube, or I can't get it close enough. Any one have any suggestions or tips?
Thanks, Michael
