I find Astronomy almost impossible after a couple glasses of wine. At the very least, hazardous to my equipment.
Personally, I've always thought a bit of champagne would go well with a
star party, given the quote attributed to the monk Dom Perrignon about tasting champagne, "come quickly, I am tasting stars!"
P.S. If anyone does an Alta star party again, come well prepared with mosquito repellent, they were hungry beasts.
