Steve, Congrats! It sounds like the new rig is working well and with the lighter load the CG5 will probably do really well, especially if you take the time to balance carefully. I couldn't view the image because the link is broken. Send me a new link and I will take a look. Cheers, Tyler PS - Dang! I was really hoping to find a local buyer. If you know anyone else who is in the market locally, let them know about my mount. Thx. -----Original Message----- From: utah-astronomy-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:utah-astronomy-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of gazebo4sale@comcast.net Sent: Monday, October 08, 2012 5:18 PM To: utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com Subject: [Utah-astronomy] First Image with my little CG5. Hi, I purchased a little CG5, mounted my Takahashi FC76 and bolted on a 300mm Nikon Camera Lens with a 1.25 inch lens piece adapter for my lodestar. With cameras and mounting plates the Load on the mount is 17 lbs. The 300mm lens is really nice for a guide scope. I shot this picture of M31 last night. First picture ever with this grab and go. It tracked well until it got past the meridian. Hi, I purchased a little CG5, mounted my Takahashi FC7 and bolted on a 300mm Nikon Camera Lens with a 1.25 inch lens piece adapter for my lodestar.
