Hey, Gary, good to hear from you! I bought the Serenity set last December, based in part on Rich's recommendation. There were 14 episodes shot, and all are included in the set. I must agree that it's some of the best SF writing to come to TV in a long time. My favorite quote: "When do we go to the crappy planet where -I'm- a hero?" As for Dr. Who...my mom has been a fan for decades, so I've been exposed to it for as long. In fact I bought the entire Dapol action-figure collection for her, including the Tardis. These are no longer in production so I imagine they are worth quite a bit. Also the talking Daleks, etc., etc. She also has several autographed photos of cast members, including 2 Doctors and I believe Tom Baker is one of them. I made her promise to will them to me when she "no longer needs them", so hopefully I can recoup my "investment" one day. Honestly I can't see what the Dr. Who fans see in that series, but God bless them if it makes them happy. --- Gary Liptrot <n7zi@comcast.net> wrote:
The network tried it's hardest to destroy the series from the start. There were originally 15 episodes shot but only 12 of those made it on the air that season. Insult on top of injury, the episodes were not run on TV in chronological order. I believe that the box set has all 15 included and they are in order... B)
