Really nice to finally get to see it under clear skies. Too bad about the Moon but still an impressive site. I can't say for sure that I saw it naked eye. Maybe 90% sure. The view through the Bogdan was great. The tail just jumped out. The darker the sky got the longer the tail got. Bruce Grim and Steve Nielson joined me and in addition to the comet we had very nice views of Jupiter and the Moon. Speaking of those two, I hope folks have noticed tonight's nice alignment of Aldebaran, the Moon and Jupiter. Back home now and shooting ISON (will post them later). patrick On 17 Mar 2013, at 20:29, Chuck Hards wrote:
Just barely naked-eye visible. Still about a degree of tail. Best in the bino. Not bad in my 70mm spotter. _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy
