Sounds like a good time. I had broken off a crown and part of the tooth (it had a root canal in it already so it was dead) and spent this morning getting that repaired. Now back to bed, Lortab makes me sleepy. On Tue, Sep 6, 2011 at 12:42 PM, Chrismo <djchrismo@gmail.com> wrote:
We had a great time observing, that's for sure. It was my wife's first time really getting to see much of anything. She pretty much thinks "they all look about the same" (meaning Messier objects) as "that other smudge" (Comet Garradd). Either way, I enjoyed the company, and the clear sky after it cleared out.

It was a fabulous night after the clouds cleared out around midnight, maybe a little later. I very much enjoyed talking with Michael and Chrismo. I thought the sky was more beautiful than I'd ever seen it. In the morning I was dozing when a tremendous blast of wind woke me, and I saw that clouds were everywhere. Threatening lines of dark masses were marching toward me, and I packed as fast as I could because I was afraid it would pour. Not only could that soak my gear, but I could imagine the mud of Lakeside turning into a gunky, impenetrable morass. I was on my way by 8:30, but I don't think it rained. -- Joe

OK, Joe --
As long as the weather keeps saying that the clouds are holding off until morning, I'll be out there probably sometime after ten. I might start with minor and distant planets, and even look at the moon! I know Joe sets up further back. Anyone else going to be there that might be disturbed by a late arrival (even with the moon out)?
