We certainly dodged a bullet! It was completely overcast, blowing hard, and very threatening when I left the house, but my arrival at SPOC was met with sunshine. The afternoon was very pleasant and it was good to spend a few hours with old friends and meet new ones as well. I even managed to sell a few goodies. One of the highlights of the afternoon was Ann Blanchard's home-made dolmathes. I ate half a dozen, at least! Although I couldn't stay for the star-party, it looked like the weather just might continue to clear as the evening progressed. My heartfelt thanks to SLAS and the organizers of this event, it was a Saturday afternoon very well spent. On 8/18/07, Patrick Wiggins <paw@wirelessbeehive.com> wrote:
It was blowing a couple of hours ago and now we've got sunshine. Like you said, typical weather for Utah in August.
