Larry, I just saw your post. I did not know your renewal had not been accepted because it was a paper check. I am so sorry. IMHO a paper check is valid tender. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Larry Holmes" <larry@kijoda.com> To: "Utah Astronomy" <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Monday, August 24, 2015 9:56:46 AM Subject: [Utah-astronomy] Fwd: UA to SLAS Sent from my iPad Begin forwarded message:

I don't do facebook, so I would be out of the loop.
With so many folks having migrated from Utah-Astronomy to SLAS Talk, anytime I've something to post these days I have to decide which of the two places to post it. (I'd prefer to not post to both places as I'm pretty sure most that moved to SLAS Talk still have a UA account).
So I'm wondering. Is it time to think about closing Utah-Astronomy and have everyone move to SLAS Talk?
SLAS Talk, BTW, is not just for SLAS members, rather it's open to all.
Thoughts?

I think it is just plain disruptive for a person to have to stop and think where to place a post (not my words). I do have a Facebook site, but check it only a few times per month. I have yet to visit SLAS Talk. BTW, I am posting here even tho my '15 dues have yet to be paid mainly because Patrick refused to accept a check from Carol "as it was too difficult for him to handle a paper transaction anymore". Sounds like something out of DC..... 73 _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy Send messages to the list to Utah-Astronomy@mailman.xmission.com The Utah-Astronomy mailing list is not affiliated with any astronomy club.
