<Don J. Colton said: <Which scope and what camera settings did you use for the images. They are <great. You ought to submit at least the Iris Nebula to Sky and Telescope <and/or Astronomy. Thanks Don. These images were taken with a Takahashi Epsilon 160 on a Losmandy G-11/Gemini mount. The Camera was an SBIG ST2000XM with Astrodon filters. I used MaxIm DL 4, CCD Stack, and Photoshop for the acquisition and processing. The length of exposure varied from object to object, but I binned all the color shots 2x2 and then took lots of luminance data in 10 minutes subs. Most of these objects require about 2-3 hours of data collection to make a decent image, although at F/3.3 the Epsilon is a very fast scope. I have tried submitting images to the major magazines before, but they seem to publish the same people most of the time. I can't compete with Gendler, Block, and some of the other folks who have $100,000 in equipment and have remote observatories in Arizona, etc. I wish they had different categories for images based on equipment costs. Then hacks like me might have a chance! Cheers, Tyler
