Dale, maybe we can continue this offline when I have time to get into it further. Thanks for the tips. I'm not sure what URL it uses. BTW, the computer I'm running it on is a 64-bit processor. So, I had to copy SkyMap Pro over from another computer.. The installer only supports 32-bit processors. That would also affect you if your newer computer is 64-bit. Clear skies, Dale.

Dale, Maybe later versions included image files, but in my version (v.7) one has to download image files separately and I've never done that. On earlier computers it took too much memory, but my newer computer should handle it. I'm looking into it now.

Hi Kim,
You may have already done this, but with SkyMap Pro (I really like it too) you can right click and download a background image of the galaxy. I've always found this option pretty helpful.
Clear skies, Dale.

Here are data from SkyMap Pro, my old but trusty planetarium program:

There just isn't much information on the web. I've searched with both Google and Yahoo. I was hoping someone on this list might know more.

Hi Kim, I hadn't heard about this one -- can you tell us more? Thanks, Joe

I can't find much information for this galaxy but what little I find is both interesting and puzzling. Has anyone here observed this object before?
