Anyway, am I reading my NASA eclipse home page correctly by assuming that we will see glimpses of two lunar eclipses this coming year?
The only portion of the 03 MAR eclipse visible from Utah will be the tail end of the penumbral phase. Nothing I'd recommend anyone try to see. The one on 28 AUG will be a total, easily seen from Utah, weather permitting, (http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/files/UTECLIPS.TXT) albeit in the wee hours of the morning. Event Time Elevation MDT (from SPOC) Umbral starts: 0251 34° Total starts: 0352 28° Mid eclipse: 0437 22° Total ends: 0523 15° Umbral ends: 0624 05° I'm looking forward to 2012 (annular in S. Utah) and 2017 (solar total in OR, ID and WY). pw
