Hi Dion, Thanks. But it's times like this that I wish I could shoot wide field. Now if I could just figure a way to use my Schmidt camera with CCD... :) As for brightness, MPC says it's currently about 10. Patrick Beautiful photo! Thanks for posting. As I mentioned in my "frustrated" post I looked for PANSTARRS in the dark skies of Montana, where it was quite high in the morning, but no luck. I even tried some long exposure photography with my camera riding piggy back to see if I could pick it up like I used to back in March. What do you estimate the brightness of that central blob to be?
