Craig and I watched it from our back yard and we were thrilled. Any of you experts know how often something like this occurs, visible to us? -----Original Message----- From: utah-astronomy-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:utah-astronomy-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Rodger C. I moved the view over to Jupiter and saw the double eclipse and it was spectacular. What a fantastic view it was. Too bad nobody else showed up. I watched both shadows crawl accross the planet surface, then slowly the moons popped off the edge of the disk like a pimple. It's cool to see live action through a telescope.
