Hey Patrick. Remember when we went "eclipsing" in LaPaz. We tried to get some sleep on the lawn in front of the air terminal and got eaten alive by the little ants. Then they herded us off to the soccer field where the big ants lived. Ha! 36 hours of nonstop fun and I've got the photos to prove it. Some things never change, Joe. My Africa and Indonesia eclipse trips were so hectic that after a few days I just stayed at the hotel and skipped some of the early morning side trips.
But, as in your case, the few minutes spent standing in the Moon's shadow made it all worth while.
FWIW, I put together my last two eclipse trips, so there were no early mornings and lots of time at night to watch the sky.
Glad you made it back ok. I look forward to seeing the pictures.
