Gegenschien Funny you mention that, as it's one of the photo documentation projects on the books for the November Kordylewski Cloud search from Mauna Kea. The K Cloud attempt during the total lunar eclipse had no positive outcome but that may be from my partner operating the camera/drive while I was 1/4mile away on the cliff edge shooting the eclipse. Gary was told where to aim, exposure length, filters to be used and shot in white light only ...... oh well. I just bought the Sigma 8mm F3.5 Fisheye for my Nikon system and this will be used on the D200's and the F100 film cameras. My current Fisheyes are mostly the rectilinear type (16mm F3.5, 16mm 2.8AF) and my early 7.5mm F5.6 'the Original Fisheye' does not fit my D200 bodies so the only logical decision was to buy another. Sigma looked especially good when they 1st began lens production but tests and use of various lenses showed color aberrations and some softness in image quality with later production runs. Conversations with Chris Schur in Arizona and on line user comments towards the 8mm Fisheye gave a strong thumbs up, so one was purchased. This lens will be used for the Gegenschien project and well as upcoming meteor showers, images will be posted when I have them. Aloha from Maui Rob
