Absolutely spectacular! I would submit it to S&T. But it wasn't as good as the big one that got away -- as the Blanchards and I are calling it. From the gravel pit, we had the alignment AND fireworks going off, because some town was shooting them the day after the Fourth. So just to the lower left of the lineup, imagine beautiful fireworks. They had trouble getting their camera set up in time and I (stupid! stupid! stupid!) did not bring mine. -- Joe --- On Thu, 7/17/08, Wilson Family <astro_outwest@yahoo.com> wrote: From: Wilson Family <astro_outwest@yahoo.com> Subject: [Utah-astronomy] Saturn/Mars/Regulus alignment of July 5th To: "Utah astronomy blog" <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Date: Thursday, July 17, 2008, 6:27 AM Here's the picture I took out at SPOC of the straight line asterism of Saturn, Mars, Regulus and the Moon that took place on July 5th http://gallery.utahastronomy.com/main.php?g2_itemId=11657 Unfortunately, some pixelation problems occurred when I had to reduce the size of my 10 megabyte photo for the Utah Astronomy server to accept. _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list Utah-Astronomy@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy Visit the Photo Gallery: http://gallery.utahastronomy.com Visit the Wiki: http://www.utahastronomy.com
