Hi Patrick. I was out last night, and the spot was excellent. Unfortunately, it moved off the planet face before it was very high in the sky. I did make an AVI and produced an image, but it is not great. Here is the link: http://www.utahastronomy.com/album17/Utah_Astronomy_Jupiter_03_21_05 The sky was pretty unstable when it was taken, so the detail is marginal. But the view was spectacular! Just back from a session on the Big Scope with some other B S trainers in training where we all agreed Jupiter was incredible. It's fun to see so much color in the bands but the most impressive thing was the GRS. Easier to see than I've ever seen it before.
