Hi all, As requested I have posted the photos I took of the launch of the Space Shuttle Altantis STS-125 on its mission to repair the Hubble Space Telescope in the SLAS photo gallery. The photos were taken from the NASA causeway, about 7 miles from the launch pad. The solid booster separation was 28 miles down range, or about 21 miles from where I was standing. The elapsed time were taken from the photo time stamps, and my estimate of the launch time, so the times may be off by a few seconds. I used a Canon 20D camera with a 400 mm telephoto lens. It was a thrilling an emotional experience to watch a live launch, I would highly recommend it if you get a chance.
Clear Skies, Mike Morrison
