That's why you visit the observatory the first day, and dive the rest of the week! Of course you have to quit 12-24 hrs before boarding a plane. The bends are no fun! Quoting Michael Carnes <michaelcarnes@earthlink.net>:

Those are two activities you don't want to combine--at least within a period of a couple of days. Going from a few meters underwater to 14,000' above is a fairly decent way to enjoy the bends, at least according to what I've read.
