Hosting a web site is not difficult nor expensive. It can be done on your home computer if you have a static IP address. Windows has the capability to host web sites. The big expense would be the time to do the daily changes. That can probably be done in about 15-20 minutes per day. Local memory is not an issue, just make sure your ISP allows the bandwidth. It hosted a web site through Xmission with no issues. It was done on a Windows XP machine. ________________________________ From: Joe Bauman <josephmbauman@yahoo.com> To: utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com Sent: Tuesday, October 30, 2012 9:27 PM Subject: Re: [Utah-astronomy] APOD is down again As much as we love 'em, kitties and other domestic animals wouldn't qualify as part of the natural scene -- unless they were bobcat or mountain lion kittens. ------------------------------ On Tue, Oct 30, 2012 6:57 PM MDT Chuck Hards wrote:
Not if it includes kittens, as Daniel suggested.

Not really beyond this list's topics because it would have a decided emphasis on astronomy and KSL doesn't. It could run astrophotos whenever possible and other nature photos when not. The heading could make that clear.
