Someone was asking about wyoroc focusers here recently, but the OP escapes me. They are still alive and well. I snagged another one on eBay over the weekend, Carolyn is having a base machined to fit my 6" F/8 Newtonian (8" OD tube). I'm replacing the 1.25" low-profile helical that's on there now with the wyoroc 2". It's only 1/2" taller than the the helical, so I can just move my mirror forward by using shims on my collimation bolts, and retain the same 1" secondary with only a tiny loss of field of 100% illumination. This is the "Woodshop" Newtonian, with enhanced-aluminum, high-precision optics and primary fan. I'm setting it up for use on my CGEM, interchangeably with it's original Dobsonian base. This makes wyorock focuser #3 for me. I love them, when a 2-speed focuser isn't needed (long f-ratios). Beautiful craftsmanship, on top of perfect functionality.
