Yeah, no need to change the name, and I'm probably one of the worst offenders. What I'll try to do from now on, when I have a science question that bothers me and want to turn to the smart folks of Utah Astronomy for an answer, is put "OT" at the top. Then if we have any astronomy-only types in the group, they can just ignore the question and answers. That should count for something. ;) One can turn ANY topic into a discussion of astronomy. I wouldn't worry much about needing to change the name. Unless you are being pressured to do so by the PC police. Quoting Patrick Wiggins <paw@wirelessbeehive.com>:
Reading over recent UA posts I see a lot of astronomy but a lot of other sciences as well.
Technically anything not related to astronomy is off-topic here but with so much non-astronomy having been enthusiastically discussed here I'm wondering if maybe we should consider another name.
Possibly something like Utah Science?
Thoughts? Comments?
