Hi Joe: It would be an enormously wide meteoroid stream, but anything is possible. I wonder if we are in the middle of a previously-known minor shower, or one that has been inactive in recent decades??? I read that the speculation of a meteorite landing near Chehalis was discounted, unfortunately. --- Joe Bauman <bau@desnews.com> wrote:
CBS radio news was reporting that 2:40 a.m. this morning, local time, an extremely bright flash lit up Puget Sound. The CBS web site says there also were booms, and speculates a meteorite came through. I am wondering if Chuck's and others' observations tie in with some big new meteor shower. -- Joe
