Actually, I'd rather see what I might be buying -- I vote for a sunny Sunday. Or Saturday. -- Joe --- On Fri, 2/11/11, Chuck Hards <chuck.hards@gmail.com> wrote:

I just tossed it out to the utah-astro gang. ;o)
Honestly, a late-afternoon or early evening swap meet presents logistical hurdles for me.
Also I can't fit my night scope stuff in the car at the same time as the items I'd like to bring to sell, whereas my PST setup can be stashed in the front seat. We've usually had better luck with swap meets earlier in the day, which is why I suggested the sun party.
I can only commit to weekend, daytime events for the forseeable future. If everyone else wants it tagged onto the front of a star party, go ahead. It's silly to hinge this on the attendance of one person. If I can make it, I will, if not, maybe next year.

Hi Chuck,
I brought up the swap meet idea at Tuesday's SLAS board meeting.
The board is fine with making it an official SLAS event at one of the star parties and open to all provided you (as the one who proposed it in the first place) are ok with that.
Would that work for you or would you prefer it be a non-afilliated event?
