We have another SLAS "private" star party at Wolf Creek this Friday and Saturday August 29 and 30.  I would like to invite everyone on this list.  Last time in addition to deep sky objects Mars was spectacular.  I suspect the higher elevation of  9800 feet had a lot to do with it.

Mars at Bryce Canyon the last night of the star party there, August 2, was also very good .

Right now the forecast for both Friday and Saturday looks good.  The monsoon coming up Tuesday night should leave by Friday morning.
