Great pictures Patrick! But forgive my ignorance: the elongated object in the center that looks like a galaxy, is that the cosmic ray hit? Or is it the bright object to the upper right? Or have I missed seeing it in your photos altogether? ~Kelly

Well, for a few precious minutes I thought I'd finally caught a supernova in the act.
Alas, a confirming shot taken a little later confirmed only that I'd managed to capture a cosmic ray hit in the act.
