You may want to check the forecast for Sanpete tonight. Right now we have about 50 percent cloud cover. Last I checked the weather is expected to be iffy/partly cloudy tonight, with clear skies the rest of the week. Last night we had some clouds until about 11:30, but then they dissipated and the sky was clear. Thursday night/Friday morning still seems to be the best bet. Any idea about the seeing tonight? And would some ranger run me off if I use my generator? Still can't decide where to go. From downtown SLC it's about a 2 hour drive, maybe a little less. If you're driving in the dark, I recommend that you drive 55 to 60 mph from Thistle Junction south on 89 all the way as there are always some deer and even elk moving about. Just curious. If you did, what did you think?
