In Windows XP you can get to your Automatic Updates a few ways: 1: Start/Control Panel/System - Select the Automatic Updates tab and do the updates during the day or just download them and do them when you want. (Classic View of Control Panel) 2: Start/right click on My Computer/properties/Automatic Updates tab. 3: Start/Run - Type in: sysdm.cpl, select OK, Automatic Updates tab. But I do need to use an old Windows machine to run my camera and mount until Software Bisque finishes converting their software to OSX. Under Windows I occasionally (like right now) have a problem in that this message pops up: +++++ Automatic Updates Updating your computer is almost complete. Your computer needs to be restarted for the updates to take effect. Windows will restart your computer automatically in 15:00 minutes. Do you want to restart your computer now? +++++ Is there some way to keep that message from appearing? As it is, once the massage comes up I don't dare leave the computer unattended for more than a few minutes lest it restart itself causing the camera and mount control software to shut down in the middle of a run. Ideas? patrick _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy Send messages to the list to Utah-Astronomy@mailman.xmission.com The Utah-Astronomy mailing list is not affiliated with any astronomy club.
