I looked at my draft and it does look like it was edited down to make room for Dobson's obit. I sent in dozens of photos and they ran 4. I'm headed out to lunch today with Mike, Steve, and Charlie, to let Mike get a look at the magazine and read the article, as well as get an update on the drive installation. On a related note, Jay Eads has agreed to do a few drawings through the eyepiece of the 70-inch, along with drawings of the same objects through a smaller scope, for comparison purposes. These may be featured on Cloudy NIghts. He is also on-board for helping Mike develop a website. Many thanks, Jay! As soon as the drives are installed, I plan on doing some video imaging. Mike doesn't have a field de-rotator (yet) but that won't be too much of a handicap for images of Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, and maybe some of the brighter DSOs. Thanks for the heads up Chuck.
I just checked and saw that the issue is now available for download to anyone with a subscription to the magazine: http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/newtrack/st_201404/
