Nice job to Don and to Patrick. A question, has anyone in the club ever recorded the Tidal Arm of NGC 3628 as shown in this APOD image: http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap070727.html Very fascinating and hauntingly beautiful. On Tue, Apr 20, 2010 at 11:19 AM, Don J. Colton <djcolton@piol.com> wrote:

Click on the images to get the full size version. Note the dark line in the lower part of M63. This is a real feature as can be seen on other images of the object. See http://www.noao.edu/outreach/aop/observers/m63fisher.jpg

Much too nice a night tonight to let it go to waste so after finishing my regular projects I got thirty 2 minute images of M-63 and repeated for M-57.
No time tonight to process so will do that later. But in the mean time if anyone would care to download and process, you'll find the raw data and master flat and dark here:

Each ZIP file is about 36 MB so I can't leave them on the server very long. So grab them soon or they'll be gone.
Carpe noctem!
