I've asked Ken numerous times over the years if he would be willing to part with the "other" 8-inch refractor - he's never been interested. -----Original Message----- From: Brent Watson [mailto:brentjwatson@yahoo.com] Sent: Monday, April 14, 2003 10:25 PM To: Astronomy in Utah Subject: Re: [Utah-astronomy] 8" Refractor Telescope Ken has the 8" Louth and an 8" Brandt. The Louth is f15 I think, and the Brandt is f13.3 like mine. He got the Brandt first. It would be good if someone could purchase that scope from him and get some extraterrestrial photons transmitted through it! I don't think he is willing, though. Brent,
So, does Ken have two 8" Louth's? Are they both f/15? I've never looked through this second one of his if he does.

I hope you can help me. I am trying to locate the person who owns a 8" Refractor which was purchased from me back in the early 1980's. I know it came to the Salt Lake area. I was in Seattle at the time and now live in Denver, CO. It was made by a Master Craftsman named Howard Louth. It was a classic 8" F15 with an equatorial mount. It was a fantastic scope and I would like to know how it is being used. Thanks.
