I caught a promo the other day stating that it's the tenth anniversary of Clarke Planetarium. I'm a little ashamed to admit it, but I have never set foot in the place. I have nothing against it, but in the last 23 years I've only been in downtown SLC about a dozen times- for concerts mostly, most of those Jethro Tull. My free time is so scarce that a trip to the planetarium is just never on my radar when I get a day off. My stepdaughter was here for a visit in February, and she and her mom opted for the new natural history museum, Temple Square, and the GSL, over the planetarium. I was out-voted. The closest I ever came to the Clarke was when I ran a downtown 5k for charity in 2006, that passed right in front of the planetarium. That's about it! of course the perception by many is that SLAS is part of the planetarium.
but perhaps that is salt in old wounds.
LOL, I'm sure Seth would disagree about SLAS being the "only" option.
Only free option, perhaps.
But it's nice to get some good press!
