We had a great time observing, that's for sure. It was my wife's first time really getting to see much of anything. She pretty much thinks "they all look about the same" (meaning Messier objects) as "that other smudge" (Comet Garradd). Either way, I enjoyed the company, and the clear sky after it cleared out. I thought the sky was more beautiful than I'd ever seen it. In the morning I was dozing when a tremendous blast of wind woke me, and I saw that clouds were everywhere. Threatening lines of dark masses were marching toward me, and I packed as fast as I could because I was afraid it would pour. As long as the weather keeps saying that the clouds are holding off until morning, I'll be out there probably sometime after ten. I might start with minor and distant planets, and even look at the moon! I know Joe sets up further back. Anyone else going to be there that might be disturbed by a late arrival (even with the moon out)?
